Movie Review: Terminal

If you’re looking for a good movie to rent from the Redbox, try the recent neo-noir film Terminal. It’s an exercise in style over substance, but it’s gorgeous-looking, twisty, dark, and fun. It’s also derivative as hell, but I prefer to think of it as a pastiche of cool influences; imagine In Bruges, Lucky Number Slevin, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Usual Suspects, Dark City, Sin City, and Blade Runner shaken and stirred, with neon-drenched, anachronistic, otherworldly production design and Margot Robbie in retro-bombshell mode.

Don’t read reviews, which are mixed.  I’m not even going to link to the trailer, which is on YouTube — only watch it if you’re really undecided.  I’d recommend going in as cold as possible, especially if you like any of those movies I mentioned.  It won’t change your life, but you won’t be sorry you saw it, especially for $1.75.
